USAID Mobilizing Investment award two grants in support of Women led/owned fund managers
Today marks an important milestone for USAID Mobilizing Investment. With the project’s first NOFO closing tomorrow, we are pleased to announce the award of two grants in support of Women led/owned fund managers. Congratulations to Anza Capital and Sanari Capital, we look forward to working with you in catalyzing investment in the region.
Anza Capital is an emerging fund manager seeking to raise a first-time fund of USD 50 million and to invest into 40-50 Southern African technology start-ups particularly in cleantech, food-tech, and digital solutions, to drive economic growth, create jobs, and bridge the gap in underserved markets. My team and I look forward to working with Audrey Verhaeghe and her team in realizing this vision.
The catalytic grant funding awarded to Sanari, intends to assist Moushmi Patel and the team at Sanari- to drive its business processes and operations in order to attract investment from institutional investors and to reach a final close of USD 80 million by the end of 2023.
I am extremely encouraged and excited by the progress being made by the USAID Mobilizing Investment project in enhancing the region’s investment ecosystem, and appreciative of the support from Leslie Marbury.
